MUST HAVE SOLAR PROJECT EXPERIENCE-
The Vice President is the primary manager of all phases of an energy project, with the objective
of successful completion on time and within budget while maintaining quality, safety, and cash
management standards and producing strong customer references. Assigned projects will include a
combination of microgrid installations (solar, battery, generators), solar, energy efficiency measures
(MEP systems, lighting, building automation), and various carbon reduction strategies. In this role, you
will manage one to several projects simultaneously, from early development through post-construction,
including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation. The ideal candidate will have
demonstrated experience in supervising/managing various construction scopes and partnering with
building owners, subcontractors, and other project team members. This role reports directly to the VP
of Project Engineering.
What you’ll do:
• Assign responsibilities to the project team; establish schedules for individual team members
• Travel to site and serve as the customer’s primary contact during the implementation phase
• Manage and supervise subcontractors and self-performing teams throughout project duration
• Coordinate equipment delivery with suppliers, subcontractors, the Project Manager and owner
to ensure job site coordination
• Provide support to contractors to solve construction issues or improve results of the
project. Identify and resolve potential project issues in a timely fashion
What you bring:
• Engineering degree or Construction Management equivalent four-year technical degree
• Progressive engineering experience in complex energy projects such as microgrids, power
generation / combined heat, and power
• Clear technical communication skills, verbally and in writing
• Financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets
• Negotiation skills that protect Facility Innovations Group’s interests on a given project while
building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapport
