Job Summary – We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional Sales Director to lead our sales team. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing sales representatives, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ESCO sales experience, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with VP of Strategy to develop regional sales plans, sales and marketing strategies supporting the region
  2. Lead and own the sales effort of the Regional Sales Team
  3. Provide daily leadership to BDMs leading to development of new customer relationships
  4. Manage, lead, and provide mentoring/coaching to BDMs
  5. Implement disciplined account management strategies for each key segment and targeted key accounts
  6. Review and approve project development budgets
  7. Lead sales staff in closing orders and developing new leads, including being on calls and in key client meetings as necessary
  8. Develop and implement a strategy to achieve budgeted staffing, continual personnel performance improvement, coaching and training

General Requirements:

  • MUST have experience in the MUSH space
  • MUST have ESPC sales experience
  • MUST have sales management experience
  • Direct sales and marketing of energy, solutions-based services, and/or financial services to clients in the local, state, municipal, school markets
  • Experience managing sales relationships across multiple opportunities
  • Familiarity with complex technical products and services and finance deal structures
  • Team leader capable of planning and coordinating the activities of technical and other project support staff
  • Knowledge of complex deal-structuring and financing concepts

Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • BS Degree
  • 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years working with public agency clients
  • Applicants must be able to clear all applicable screening tests and obtain a federal government and/or local government security clearance, if later required
