We are looking for a Regional Engineering Manager in the Colorado market that is committed to delivering creative facility and energy solutions to our public sector (MUSH) clients.

Position Description – Our Project Development Team will work alongside our Business Development Team to develop Performance Contracting (ESPC) solutions that solve our clients’ facilities, operational, and financial challenges. You will then support those solutions as they progress through our design process, coordinating with other engineers, drafters, construction professionals, and commissioning agents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages Project Development efforts in Colorado region and coordinates efforts with business development.
  • Directly supervises, trains, and mentors three Project Developers and one CAD expert.
  • Performs preliminary and conceptual engineering tasks and important preliminary engineering work such as energy analysis and modeling efficiently and accurately.
  • Support business development activities which lead to award of the contract including client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation support, oral presentation support, and contract negotiation.
  • Coordinates with pre-construction team to obtain project development budget estimates for Preliminary Audit & IGA Stages.
  • Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the framework of company policies and procedures.
  • Support technical bid analyses and construction administration tasks such as answering Requests for Information and providing data and documentation needed for project close-out.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related field of engineering is required
  • Experience in the Performance Contracting (ESPC) space
  • Additional professional certifications are a plus (e.g. LEED-AP, CEM, ASHRAE, DBIA, etc.)
  • Prior experience in progressive project development required
  • Experience working on complex projects and interdisciplinary teams of professionals
  • Moderate regional travel required with possibility of limited national travel; overnight travel about 20%
