Solar Project Manager – Construction

Core Focus: Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Solar Project Manager will be client-facing and responsible for planning and oversight of all phases of energy savings performance contracts (ESPC), with the objective of a successful completion on time, and within budget. Projects include a combination of energy efficiency measures and renewable generation installations, to help local cities, schools and counties or other Public Sector customers become more sustainable. The expectation is that the project manager will simultaneously run one or several solar projects from early development through construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide constructability review of scopes during project development.
- Oversee project deliverables and contractual obligations.
- Oversee project team including subcontractors.
- Create, maintain, and manage project schedules, labor plans and project documents.
- Oversee AHJ, utility and special inspections to ensure project receives all necessary permit sign-offs.
- Visit active sites to witness and partake in key milestones and ensure progress and quality.
- Work with internal/external procurement resources to contract the project scope across various suppliers.
- Develop and maintain multi-month budget/forecasting revenue and payment forecasts.
- Manage payment terms and balances with customers and sub-contractors.
Skills/Proven Experience:
- Solar project management experience a must
- DSA processing/Commissioning experience
- Construction, HVAC/lighting/controls and/or mechanical systems knowledge
- Computer literate and proficient in project accounting software and MS Project
- Excellent understanding of construction law and local codes
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
