ESCO Channel Sales Manager

We are seeking an ESCO Channel Sales Manager who is passionate about transforming HVAC and energy services markets and thrives at the intersection of energy engineering, strategic selling, and market creation.
Position Overview – The Channel Sales Manager will own the full commercial go-to-market strategy across the ESCO market. You will help identify ESCO customers, educate them on our HVAC technology, assist ESCOs in identifying and qualifying project opportunities and coordinate with our distribution partners. Cultivating deep relationships with ESCO project development and sales teams, assisting them in developing and implementing value-driven energy savings projects that leverage next-generation HVAC solutions. The ideal candidate blends energy savings performance contracting (ESPC) industry knowledge with consultative selling, financial analysis, and strategic business planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development
- Drive ESCO Channel revenue growth through assigned and new ESCO partners.
- Promote value proposition through presentations, lunch-and-learns, site walk-throughs, and industry events.
Technical Sales & Engineering Expertise
- Perform and present lifecycle cost analyses, energy-savings models, and ROI/IRR financial calculations.
- Lead design-assist engagements and collaborate with ESCO project development teams to convert conceptual interest into specifications and sold projects.
- Manage the entire sales funnel—from lead qualification and technical scoping to proposal generation and contract negotiation.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Mentor and support distribution partner(s) sales team members to elevate technical competency and sales execution. Train them to be extensions of you.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to communicate field feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation skills, comfortable in front of large crowds, and enjoy teaching complex systems.
- Up to 25% travel at times.
- Experience selling into the ESCO market.
- Experience working with utility incentive programs.
- Experience managing sales teams and/or channel partner networks.
- Prior work with HVAC systems, including dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS),
