The Energy Solutions Developer operates as a subject matter expert in a growth-oriented, national support team for our ESCO client. Responsibilities would be to act as the Program Manager Lead for Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) rebate capture. This role requires an understanding of energy engineering, technology, and a proven track record for supporting opportunities through the entire sales cycle.

As the program manager you would be responsible for leading and coordinating all activities required to secure the ESCO as an approved contractor, secure IRA rebates for eligible projects. This role would begin by identifying applicable rebate programs, confirming project and customer eligibility, and mapping rebate opportunities to the planned scope of work, such as electrification, HVAC upgrades, weatherization, appliance replacements, or energy-efficiency improvements.

The ultimate responsibility of the team is to ensure that all federal and state governed work performed is compliant with federal regulations and state statutes. When required, this position supports public and affordable housing, privatized military housing, senior and assisted living facilities, State VA Hospitals, and correctional facilities. This position reports to the Vertical Market Director. 

The program manager would coordinate with internal teams, public housing authority staff, contractors, energy consultants, and state energy offices to gather required technical, financial, and compliance documentation.

IRA Responsibilities

  • Build and Track the Approval Checklist: Maintain a checklist and tracker for required forms, licenses, certifications, insurance, training, deadlines, contacts, open items, and approval status.
  • Coordinate Communications: Serve as the main contact, customers, subcontractors, and program administrators to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and confirm approval.
  • Confirm Operational Readiness: Ensure vendors and field teams understand eligible measures, documentation, installation, inspection, and post-installation reporting requirements.

What we look for:

  • Experience working with the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Home Energy Rebate funding
  • Current relationship with States administrating the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Home Energy Rebate funding programs
  • Certifications to operate within the IRA DOE Rebate requirements
  • Experience working with government agencies
  • Basic understanding of procurement, regulations, and federal statutes
  • Travel up to 30%  
  • MUST clear background check and drug screen
