Our client helps organizations navigate the journey to a low-carbon, cost-efficient future, working across energy services, energy supply and energy assets. The energy services team builds, operates and maintains energy assets that help organizations to decarbonize and save money. We help organizations get the most value from their energy and energy infrastructure including;

  • Energy Savings Performance Contracting
  • Energy Efficiency Solutions; Microgrids, lighting, controls, building envelope, HVAC, water
  • Solar and Energy Storage
  • EV and battery storage solutions

The Head of Engineering and Development is responsible for implementing strategies and initiatives that ensure timely and high-quality energy projects. You will be a member of the leadership team and report directly to the President.

You will provide strategic leadership in planning, establishing and directing project development processes, policies, objectives and initiatives based on long-term goals. You will have direct oversight of M&V and Engineering. In addition, indirect oversight of engineering staff in the specific business units that provide for the development and design of energy efficiency projects.

  • Working collaboratively with sales teams, operations, legal, corporate support groups, and marketing.
  • Ensuring the continued development of engineering staff related to our core business.
  • Maintaining and updating internal savings calculation tools.
  • Develop internal or evaluate the use of external tools for savings, auditing, costing, and M&V needs.
  • Owning top-level development KPI’s and responsible for developing effective KPI’s.
  • Leading, directly and indirectly, engineering teams. Direct the setting of objectives and action plans for engineering teams to accomplish project development needs.
  • Participating in project reviews and ensure that processes for Quality Control are achieved.

Core Competencies:

  • 10 + years’ experience in engineering project development with an emphasis on complex solutions.
  • At least 5 years with a proven track record of engineering team leadership.
  • BS degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency project legislation (e.g., State Energy Laws) and incentive programs that enable the adoption of technologies.
