Client is a sustainability-focused development and design-build construction firm that delivers innovative energy infrastructure and solutions to clients across the United States. We hold master performance contracting agreements with multiple states, the US Department of Energy, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and have developed more than $300MM of energy upgrades over the last ten years. Customer partner with our team to address their most critical needs with successful past projects ranging from municipal renewable energy solutions to revitalizing central plant systems and even reconfiguring data center power and cooling systems at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

As a Sr. Business Development Executive within our growing team, you will have the opportunity to lead and cultivate new business opportunities with Higher Ed clients as we leverage our customer-centric and innovative brand throughout the US. Success in this position requires a dynamic individual capable of establishing new organizational partnerships and advancing innovative projects from conception through implementation. Potential responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, own, and execute a sales growth plan through multiple markets across the region.
  • Use a Solution Sales process methodology to qualify & disqualify complex sales opportunities for consistent, robust results.
  • Spearhead Client’s next stage of business development activities, identifying and driving sector-specific sales strategies that increase company revenue, branding, and impact.
  • Serve as direct client interface on all projects, leading customer meetings/presentations and negotiating contracts on behalf of the organization.
  • Develop relationships with and identify the technical needs of potential partners across all organizational levels, ranging from government executives to building engineering staff.
  • Coordinate internal engineering resources to evaluate sales recommendations, managing site audits, cost-savings calculations, and return-on-investment analyses.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred)

Minimum 5 years of complex sales and /or business development experience in one or more of the following vertical markets: government, C&I, higher education, or healthcare.
