Client is a nation-wide design/build sustainability contractor. We audit, design, and install building envelope, solar, smart metering technology, lighting, water efficiency and e-mobility projects for Energy Services Companies (ESCO’s) focused in the K-12, higher Ed, municipality and commercial vertical markets.

We are looking to grow the Southeast region sales efforts. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is an individual contributor that will sell value-driven energy savings projects to the Southeast ESCO market as well as owner direct. The RSM will follow an established sales process, provide project leadership, meet with customers to review and clarify proposals, have a working knowledge of green building design, respond to RFP’s and RFQ’s and build long-term relationships with prospects.

Essential Job Function:
• Maintain and grow existing business through assigned and new ESCO accounts
• Individual should be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, target new business, follow up on sales leads, and close the sale
• Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level
• Sell the economic, energy, and environmental savings its projects provide
• Present a post-implementation energy cost and savings summary

Experience & Skills:
• MUST HAVE – Experience selling to energy services companies
• Related experience selling to ESCO’s or other contractors using a consultative selling approach
• Candidate must have a strong understand of the ESCO landscape in the given geography
• Prefer knowledge of Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC)
• Contracting experience with local, state, federal and large academic institutions would be beneficial
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen are conditions of employment
