The Director will be responsible for the Federal strategy and the appropriate path in continuing to make Client ESCO an industry leader in utilizing the Federal Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC), Utility Energy Services (UESC), and other IDIQ contract vehicles covering the Eastern US. This individual will be responsible for managing and hiring Federal Account Executives.

As a Director you will be involved in the following:

  • Inherit existing sales team
  • Hire, train and develop high-performing Federal Account Executives
  • Identify and set strategic direction to the federal sales team
  • Conceive and execute sales strategies
  • Analyze and prioritize financial goals and strategic objectives
  • Develop, manage and own account relationships
  • Provide sales leadership to the national and regional sales team members
  • Track and report on key business results and trends
  • Develop complex financial solutions strategies
  • Lead sales processes support staff
  • Manage sales process internally and work with operations to identify necessary resources
  • Act as Advisor in the Federal marketplace
  • Attend industry specific tradeshows and events
  • Assist proposal development efforts, analysis of solicitations and competition analysis of opportunities
  • Track and report on key Federal business results and trends.


The following background is preferred for this position:

  • Successful federal ESPC industry experience
  • Must have experience in working with ESPC and/or UESC contract vehicles
  • Specific performance contracting business development experience
  • Must be able and willing to travel
