Highly-respected ESCO is expanding their building technologies division including Performance Contracting and Building Technologies in the Northern California MUSH / Public Sector markets.

We are recruiting a seasoned Sales professional with an appetite for winning deals and getting highly compensated for doing so. This position is responsible for development of opportunities and closing orders in the specific target market of Cities & Municipalities in California.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
The individual should have extensive knowledge of the market and specifically the issues facing cities and counties in the current economic environment in California. The individual would report to the Regional Sales Manager and would utilize relationship and contacts within the market to identify potential Energy Solutions opportunities. A comprehensive marketing plan is already in place providing access and credibility into City Managers and other decisions markers in the City/County hierarchy.

As well, successful candidate would represent Client at local and state level conferences, seminars, and industry functions, as directed by leadership. They would also provide ongoing support and act as a liaison to the external and internal partner companies utilized during project development and implementation.

Basic Requirements:

• Either, extensive experience selling to and working with Cities, Counties, and Municipalities in California or extensive sales experience in the Performance Contracting industry or
• Demonstrated sales ability to work on high performance teams, and drive complex large dollar projects from inception to successful complete. Important to have a grasp for financial selling and cost justification on multi-million dollar projects.
